The largest population centre in NewZealand, with around 1.3 million people living in the Greater Auckland Area, I think.

Home of the UniversityOfAuckland as well as MasseyUniversityAlbany.  Often called the "City of Sails" because we have a nice big harbour.  I seem to recall reading somewhere that we have more boats per capita than anywhere else in the world, too.

I guess it's not too surprising that we won the AmericasCup twice in a row, then, is it :)
