GeorgeBush's recent description of his quagmire in Iraq describes a few other OxyMoron''''''ic horrors. 

It's not necessarily oxymoronic.  There are many examples of success that has happened so fast and to such a magnitude that the "successful" party has been unable to adapt and has subsequently been destroyed.

* DrewBarrymore (who later successfully recovered from her catastrophic success)
* KobeBryant
* many, many lottery winners
** this seems more like catastrophic luck
