Joe McMahon is, among other things, a Perl instructor planning on teaching design patterns concepts to his students, and the author of WebWebX.

He is currently working on the EOSDIS IMS/WWW Web gateway[1], a project allowing anyone with a web browser to search for, examine and order earth sciences data from data archive centers around the world.
