* was born in 1977 in Oss (a small city in the south of the Netherlands), but lives currently near Amsterdam.
* has been programming (in BASIC on an Aquarius homecomputer) since 1984 and currently programs in Java, PHP, C++, Prolog, CLIPS, Perl, DESIRE, C and MODULA-2. 
* Research interests are: Software Engineering (with a strong preference for heavy-weight methods) and knowledge base systems and learning.
* Currently I am working as a Ph.D. student (in Software Engineering) for the Vrije Universiteit. Before becoming a Ph.D. student I studied Artificial Intelligence at the Vrije Universiteit and I have been a Software Architect at a dot-com company (Ubiworks) for a year.
* My ambition is to lead and realize innovation in life science and technology by putting products on the market with high added value for human healthcare as well as added value for shareholders and sponsors. Supporting enterprises, stimulation of regional development and coaching individuals and teams to deliver are part of my passion.
