Logistic disasters are the large delays in a project caused by not having available when it is needed something that is difficult to get. Because of the difficulty of getting some things, they are called LongLeadItems and need to be pre-planned well in advance to avoid the logistic disasters which result when they are not planned. -- RaySchneider
