GeorgeBush is trying to do something that can never be done. KingCanute is a metaphor for exactly this activity. You cannot point a gun at someone's head and make them free. You must point their eyes at a book, instead... or a wiki.

So if the West were serious about resolving the problems in the Middle East, it would start with the creation of a NewIslam.
