NoveltyVampires is a term that BrianFoote has coined that describes those researchers who consider well-worn paths to be beneath them.

This attitude is, of course, antithetical to the patterns movement, with its emphasis on not believing something is a pattern until it satisfies the UsedThreeTimes rule.
