The pursuit of 'The Best' is as meaningless as the pursuit of the receding horizon, for exactly the same reason: no matter where you stand, the goal is always the same distance away ''(unless you gain height, of course)''.

This is one of the hardest lessons for one with purist or perfectionist tendencies to grasp. I know, because I never have myself...
