I am trying to switch over to Ubuntu. I need the help of the UK Unbuntu team. Am trying to learn Wiki , so I can get info of what sort of lap top to buy for changing over to Ubuntu. 

my old Toshiba satellite ( 2003) model does not let me boot from CD.
